Applied AI Researcher

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Research emerging AI technologies, including language models, AI agents, automation, and machine learning.
• Build and improve prototypes, internal tools, and experimental AI applications.
• Design experiments, compare approaches, and assess which ideas are useful and technically feasible.
• Work with AI models, APIs, and data to test and develop new solutions.
• Document methods and results, explain limitations, and present working demonstrations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities and guide research priorities.

Requirements

• Practical Python programming skills and experience working with APIs, data, and development tools.
• A solid understanding of machine learning and large language model fundamentals.
• The ability to take an open-ended idea from research through experimentation to a working prototype.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independent learning, and clear technical communication.
• Evidence of substantial technical work, such as AI projects, applications, research, or a GitHub portfolio.
• A degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability. Strong recent graduates are welcome; an advanced degree is not required.
